Description

Cobaltocenium hexafluorophosphate is a cobalt complex with many uses in research. It is a cocatalyst for the Heck reaction of aryl iodides with alkenes using palladium as a catalyst in water. It is also used as a reactant for modifying organometallic electrode surfaces through cathodic reduction. And finally, it is a reactant in the synthesis and solution self-assembly of side-chain cobaltocenium-containing block copolymers.
