| Preparation | CHROMIUM(III) PHOSPHATE is produced by the reaction of phosphoric acid with chromic anhydride (CrO3). By adding reducing agents such as formaldehyde and hydrogen peroxide, CrO3 is reduced to Cr2O3, which then combines with phosphoric acid during heating to form amorphous P2O5-Cr2O3.
