| Uses | 5-Fluoro-2-methoxyaniline was used in the study of structure-activity relationship to discover selective inhibitors of p97 ATPase. | | Synthesis | General procedure for the synthesis of 2-methoxy-5-fluoroaniline from 2-nitro-4-fluoroanisole: 4-fluoro-2-nitroanisole (85 g, 0.50 mol) was dissolved in methanol (300 mL) and palladium-carbon catalyst (10%, 8 g) was added. The reaction was stirred under hydrogen atmosphere for 15 hours.
