| Description | Cyanine5 is an analog of Cy5®, deeply colored and photostable fluorophore. Cyanine5 alkyne can be attached to various molecules via click chemistry reaction with azides.
This alkyne is non-water soluble, but it can be dissolved in DMF or DMSO before reaction and added to an aqueous reaction mixture. With our labeling protocol, the labeling reaction is very efficient, and high-yielding.
Various substrates bearing azides can be used for the labeling, including azido-labeled biomolecules, polymers, and solid surfaces. | | Abs/Em Maxima | 646/662 nm | | Fluoresene quantum yield | 0.2 | | Extinction Coefficient | 250000 | | CF260 | 0.03 | | CF280 | 0.04 |
