| Uses | Flamprop-isopropyl acts as a pesticide. | | Mechanism of action | Selective, systemic, absorbed by leaves | | Synthesis | To a 25 mL oven-dried flask containing isopropyl 2-(3-chloro-4-fluorophenylamino) propionate (78 mg, 0.3 mmol) was added 5 mL of CH2Cl2 under nitrogen atmosphere. benzoyl chloride (51 mg, 0.36 mmol) was added dropwise and stirred for 20 min. Triethylamine (31 mg, 0.3 mmol) was slowly added to the flask and stirred at room temperature for 8 hours. An additional 51 mg of benzoyl chloride and 31 mg of triethylamine were added to the flask and stirred for 24 hours.
