Chemical PropertiesYellowish red powder. Easily soluble in water, solubility in water (90℃) is 80g/L, aqueous solution is big red, add concentrated hydrochloric acid to red, there is precipitation; add concentrated sodium hydroxide to orange. Soluble in ethanol is red, slightly soluble in acetone. Cherry red in concentrated sulfuric acid, red after dilution. UsesSodium 3-[[4-(benzoylethylamino)-2-methylphenyl]azo]-4-hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulphonate is suitable for dyeing wool, silk, and their blended fabrics, and can also be used for direct printing on wool and silk fabrics. It has good leveling properties. When used for dyeing blended fabrics, wool is dyed, silk is slightly stained, and cellulose and acetate fibers are not stained.
