Biological ActivityIGSF8 (Immunoglobulin superfamily, member 8) is majorly involved in the organization of actin cytoskeleton. It connects tetraspanin-enriched microdomains to actin cytoskeleton by the molecular interaction of tetraspanin-tetraspanin. It also binds to α-actinin mediated by PIP2 (Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate) in the regulation of immune synapse formation and T cell activation.
