仙茅苷有补肾壮阳、益精血、强健筋骨、行血消肿的功效。用于腎虚不足、阳痊遗精、虚瘦内伤、腰脊冷痛、寒虚冷泻、带下、小便频数等临床病症。Curculigoside 是 C. orchioide 中的主要皂苷，具有显着的抗氧化，抗骨质疏松，抗抑郁和神经保护作用。

Curculigoside (1-64 μg/ml; 72 hours) exerts significant inhibitory effects on MH7A cell viability between 1 and 64 µg/ml in MH7A cells. Curculigoside (4-16 μg/ml; 24 hours) decreases the protein expression of JAK1, JAK3 and STAT3 compared to the TNF-α group.
