| Uses | Tetradecyl Nicotinate can be combined with other drugs in the treatment of dermatological conditions. | | Synthesis | Myristyl nicotinate was prepared as follows: under nitrogen atmosphere, nicotinoyl chloride was mixed with triethylamine (TEA), dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP) and different streptanols such as myristyl alcohol. The synthesized myristyl nicotinate obtained was separated by silica gel column chromatography and for further purification, it was converted to HCl salt using standard methods. Purity was confirmed by thin layer chromatography and 1H-NMR.
