Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2-PFP Usage And Synthesis
DescriptionAzido-PEG5-CH2CO2-PFP is a PEG linker that contains an azide and a PFP group with one carbon between PEG arm and PFP ester group. The azide group can undergo copper-catalyzed Click Chemistry reactions to react with alkynes. The PFP group can react with amines to form stable bonds. PFP moieties are also less susceptible to undergo hydrolysis. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of the compound. Longer PEG chains enhance the water solubility properties of the chain.
UsesAzido-PEG5-CH2CO2-PFP is a PEG- and Alkyl/ether-based PROTAC linker can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2-PFP is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
