| Uses | SUN-B 8155 is a pyridone derivative and a selective calcitonin receptor agonist (1). SUN-B 8155 has been shown to lower serum calcium levels in rats. | | Biological Activity | Non-peptide calcitonin (CT) receptor agonist that fully stimulates cAMP production in CHO/hCTR cells (EC 50 = 21 μ M). Causes a significant reduction in serum calcium concentrations in vivo following i.p. administration. | | in vivo | SUN B8155 (100 mg/kg; i.p.) results in a significant reduction of serum calcium concentration by approximately 9% at 30 min after administration.
