Electroreduction of 1-chloro-3-iodopropane at glassy carbon electrode in dimethylformamide containing tetra-n-butylammonium perchlorate has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry. It also participates in conjugate addition of alkyl iodides to α,β-unsaturated nitriles in water. |
