| Definition | ChEBI: Monuron-TCA is an organic molecular entity. | | Production Methods | Monuron-TCA was produced by combining two already-established actives, monuron (a substituted urea herbicide) and trichloroacetic acid (TCA), into a co formulated product rather than synthesising a new chemical entity. Commercial manufacture therefore followed parallel production streams: technical monuron was prepared through the reaction of p-chlorophenyl isocyanate with dimethylamine, while TCA was generated via the chlorination-oxidation of acetic acid or acetaldehyde.
