Appearance:
A Methyl cellulose glycol ether in which hydroxypropyl and methyl groups are bonded by ether bonds to the anhydrous glucose ring of cellulose. Different types of products have different proportions of methoxyl and hydroxypropyl groups. White to grayish white fibrous powder or granules. Soluble in water and certain organic solvents. Insoluble in ethanol, the aqueous solution is surface active and forms a thin film after drying. After heating and cooling, the film undergoes a reversible transition from Sol to Gel.
Application:
It is used as thickener, dispersant, Binder, emulsifier and stabilizer in textile industry. Applied to synthetic resins, petrochemical, ceramics, paper, leather, textile printing and dyeing, medicine, food, cosmetics and other daily chemicals, as excipients, capsules, oil-resistant coatings and fillers. Paint Molding Agent, Thickener, stabilizer, gelling agent, suspension agent.
