An oxygen at C-11 is a mandatory structural feature for potent glucocorticoid activity (anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects). From 16-DPA, manufacturers can efficiently produce:

    • Cortisone and Hydrocortisone

      Prednisone

      More potent steroids like Betamethasone and Dexamethasone.
