Function

Mifepristone has anti-glucocorticoid activity, but no progesterone, estrogen, androgen and anti-estrogen activity. The affinity with progesterone receptor is stronger than progesterone. Application

Mifepristone is used as a new type of progesterone and has anti-glucocorticoid activity. Mifepristone can inhibit fertilized eggs implantation, induce menstruation and promote cervical maturation. Its mechanism of promoting menstruation and stopping pregnancy is to block the effect of progesterone by competing for progesterone receptor of endometrium (decidua).
