Function:
Clarithromycin is effective against a wide range of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including some atypical pathogens. It has a broader spectrum compared to other macrolides, making it useful in treating a variety of infections.

Applications:

· Respiratory infections: Treats conditions like pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis.

· Helicobacter pylori eradication: Used in combination therapy to treat H. pylori infections associated with peptic ulcers.
