It not only reduces cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production triggered by 7β-OH but also inhibits lysosomal membrane permeabilization (LMP), enhancing cell survival. Fodipir, as a principal metabolite of mangafodipir, plays a crucial role in the cytoprotection conferred by mangafodipir against 7β-OH-induced cytotoxicity. |
