It restores the efficacy of β-lactam antibiotics against methicillin-resistant (MRSA) and methicillin-susceptible (MSSA) S. aureus, often re-sensitizing resistant strains. This antibacterial potentiation is achieved through the induction of apoptosis via caspase-3/7 pathway activation. |
