| Description | hCAI/II-IN-4 (compound 6d) is a potent inhibitor of both hCA I and hCA II enzymes, with Ki values of 16.95 nM and 15.22 nM, respectively. It also inhibits hCA IX with a Ki value of 27.04 nM, exhibits anti-hypoxia properties, and maintains low toxicity. This compound is suitable for investigating acute mountain sickness (AMS) in research studies [1]. |
| In vitro | hCAI/II-IN-4 (compound 6d) (5-200 μM; 48 hours) shows no significant cytotoxicity in HEK293 cells, maintaining cell viability above 60% at concentrations of 5, 25, 50, 100, and 200 μM after 48 hours of incubation [1]. |
| In vivo | Compound 6d (hCAI/II-IN-4) administered orally at doses ranging from 400 to 2000 mg/kg showed no apparent toxic effects in male BLAB/c hypoxic mice [1]. In this model, the treatment significantly increased survival time by 29.3% compared to the blank control group, indicating promising protective effects under hypoxic conditions without evident toxicity. |
