ATMIN (ATM Interactor) is a nuclear protein that serves as an essential cofactor for the ATM kinase, a key regulator of the DNA damage response (DDR). Initially identified as an ATM-binding partner, ATMIN facilitates ATM activation in response to replication stress and chromatin alterations, though its role is distinct from ATM’s canonical function in double-strand break (DSB) repair. ATMIN also acts as a transcriptional regulator, influencing genes involved in metabolism, hypoxia, and oxidative stress.

ATMIN antibodies are critical tools for studying its expression, localization, and interactions. They are widely used in techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation to explore ATMIN’s dual roles in DDR and transcriptional regulation.
