载脂蛋白E(APOE)是一种与脂质颗粒结合的载脂蛋白,其主要功能是通过血浆和组织液介导脂蛋白在器官间的脂质转运。APOE作为血浆脂蛋白的核心组分,参与脂蛋白的生成、转化与清除过程。载脂蛋白属于两亲性分子,既能与脂蛋白颗粒核心的脂质相互作用,又可适应血浆的水相环境。因此,APOE可与乳糜微粒、乳糜微粒残余物、极低密度脂蛋白(VLDL)及中间密度脂蛋白(IDL)结合,但对高密度脂蛋白(HDL)表现出优先结合特性。此外,APOE能与多种细胞受体结合,包括低密度脂蛋白受体(LDLR)、低密度脂蛋白受体相关蛋白(LRP1、LRP2、LRP8)以及极低密度脂蛋白受体(VLDLR),这些受体介导了含APOE脂蛋白颗粒的细胞摄取过程。
