ATX-GD-59, as a drug peptide, is a peptide therapy based on the main biological mechanism of mimicking antigenic epitopes to inactivate white blood cells that attack the thyroid gland, preventing the production of anti thyroid stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR) stimulating antibodies. It can target the immunological basis of Graves' disease and is expected to become the first modified innovative therapy for treating Graves' disease in 60 years. In clinical practice, ATX-GD-59 has good safety and tolerability in the treatment of Graves' disease, and can occasionally promote normal levels of thyroid hormone receptor (TSHR) antibodies.
