α - Bumarotoxin is a peptide derived from the postsynaptic neurotoxin of the silver snake neurotoxin genus. Its sequence contains 74 amino acids and four pairs of disulfide bonds. It competes with acetylcholine for nicotinamide acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction, blocking the transmission of acetylcholine signals. As a marker for detecting acetylcholine receptors (AchR); Used for AchR purification; Study the interaction between drugs and receptors; Study the structure and properties of AchR; Non addictive pain relief and drug rehabilitation.
