Description
epi-Testosterone is the 17α-hydroxy epimer of testosterone and an endogenous steroid. It is an antagonist at the androgen receptor (IC50 = 15 nM), interfering with signaling of testosterone or its metabolite at that receptor. epi-Testosterone also weakly inhibits 5α-reductase, affording 24% inhibition of the conversion of testosterone to 5α-dihydrotestosterone at 10 μM. The ratio of testosterone to epi-testosterone is commonly used in doping tests to detect enhanced testosterone levels.More related product prices
