A suspension of intermediate 33 (1.56 g, 4.95 mmol) in EtOH (100 ml) was treated with a 1N NaOH solution (15 ml, 3.0 eq. ) and the reaction mixture was refluxed for 2 hours. After evaporation, the residue was acidified with a 1N HCI solution. The resulting precipitate was filtered washed with water and dried. The title compound was obtained as a white solid (1.42 g, 4.95 mmol) in a quantitative yield ; LC/MS: M+H C11H8CI2NO2S 288.
