To a 175 mL concentrated H2SO4 compound 4 (9.67 g, 0.039 mol) was added at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 6 hours. The reaction was monitored via TLC (PE/EA=1:1). After the reaction was completed, the mixture was poured into ice-water. The precipitate was filtrated and washed with diethyl ether (Et2O), recrystallized with ethanol, to obtain compound 5 (2 g, yield: 25%) as a beige solid.
