Steps:

Synthesis of amide 5 withacid chloride [Method A]

General procedure: To a solution of amine 4(1 eq.) and diisopropylethylamine (1.5 eq.) in dichloromethane (0.2 M) wasadded acid chloride (1.2 eq.). After 3 h, the reaction mixture was diluted withdichloromethane and washed with water and brine. The organic layer was driedover MgSO₄ and concentrated. The crude product was purified bynormal phase column chromatography (SP1, Biotage) to yield compound 5.
