Substrate for determination of cytochrom P-450 dependent oxidases; about 50-100 times more sensitive than conventional substrate ethoxy-resorufin due to higher turn over rate.
Uses
3-Cyano-7-ethoxycoumarin has been used as a substrate in cytochrome P (CYP) inhibition for fluorescence measurement.
General Description
3-Cyano-7-ethoxycoumarin is a fluorescent substrate for Cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1), Cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2), Cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) and Cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19).
Biochem/physiol Actions
Fluorescent probe useful in microsomal dealkylase studies. Typical drug-drug interactions resulting from enzyme inhibition.
