Manassantin A is a potent inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) activity. Also, it is an herbal medicine isolated from Saururus chinensis which inhibits 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO)-dependent leukotriene C4 (LTC4) generation in bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMCs)
