Uses

BRL 15572 Hydrochloride is an analog of BRL 15572, which is a preferential antagonist at native human 5-HT1D receptors.

Biological Activity

A selective h5-HT 1D antagonist, displaying 60-fold selectivity over h5-HT 1B , and exhibiting little or no affinity for a range of other receptor types.

in vivo

BRL-15572 prevents (-)-epicatechin-induced antinociception in the formalin test^[2].
BRL-15572 (0.3-100.0 mg/kg; i.p.) is inactive and BRL-15572 (0.1-10 mg/kg; i.p.) has no effect on body temperature the guinea pig^[3].
