Uses

Costenal is an intermediate in the synthesis of 2-Hydroxydecanedioic Acid (H939450), a biomarker to detectperoxisomal disorders (neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy or Zellweger syndrome) in the urines of children. 2-Hydroxydecanedioic Acid is an oxidation product of sebaic acid (S211410), a urinary metabolite that has been identified as an anti-fatigue biomarker.
