Description
Amino-PEG8-acid is a water soluble PEG linker consisting of an amino group (NH2) with a terminal carboxylic acid. The amine group is reactive with activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc.
Uses
1-Amino-3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24-octaoxaheptacosan-27-oic Acid is used in targeted drug delivery as conjugate with carbon nanotubes. It is also used as linker for enzyme immobilization in optimization of bio-nano interface to enhance enzyme catalytic efficiency.
General Description
NH2-PEG8-COOH (also known as Amino-PEG8-Acid, NH2-PEG8-acid CAS 756526-04-2) is a high-purity, monodisperse, water-soluble cross-linking reagent. This compound possesses a primary amine (-NH₂) at one end and a carboxylic acid (-COOH) at the other, linked by a hydrophilic octaethylene glycol spacer. The amine group is highly reactive with activated NHS esters, whilst the carboxyl group can undergo coupling reactions with primary amines via coupling agents such as EDC or HATU.
