Description
DAPH-7 is a highly selective procarcinogenic protein kinase C-βII (PKCβII) inhibitor that can also inhibit nPKCs and aPKCs, and upregulate VCAM-1, in a dose dependent manner. The compound has been shown to inhibit a variety of kinases, such as, protein kinase A, casein kinase I and II, c-src kinase, c-lyn kinase, c-fgr kinase, and v-abl kinase at an IC50 of greater than 50 μM. Studies show that inhibitory DAPHs can reconstruct Sup35 prion-specific intermolecular interfaces to create morphologically altered aggregates with diminished infectivity and self-templating activity. When DAPHs alter the folding of Sup35s amyloidogenic core it blocks amyloidogenic oligomerization and specific recognition events that nucleate prion assembly. Research shows that DAPH-7, also known as, CGP-53353, can inhibit glucose-induced cell proliferation and DNA synthesis in AoSMC and A10 cells.Related product price
