The synthesis method takes p-nitrobenzyl chloride (or bromine) as a raw material and water as a solvent, and obtains a white product, i.e. the 4-Nitrobenzyl alcohol through heating hydrolysis, cooling crystallization under the catalysis of imidazole type ionic liquid.
