PreparationParaformaldehyde is depolymerized in methanol and then reacted with isobutylene in the presence of an alkali metal phosphate catalyst to synthesize 3-methyl-3-buten-1-ol. The reaction temperature is 200-300℃ and the pressure is 8-10 MPa. The conversion rate of the obtained product is 68%.
