DescriptionPropargyl-PEG4-S-PEG4-acid is a PEG linker containing a propargyl group with a terminal carboxylic acid. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) forming a stable amide bond. The propargyl groups can react with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules via copper catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry to yield stable triazole linkages. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
UsesPropargyl-PEG4-S-PEG4-acid is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Propargyl-PEG4-S-PEG4-acid is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
