| Description | PAR4 (1-6) amide is a synthetic peptide agonist of proteinase-activated receptor 4 (PAR4) and an amide form of PAR4 (1-6) (Item No. 27131) that corresponds to residues 1-6 of the amino terminal tethered ligand sequence of mouse PAR4 and residues 60-65 of the full-length sequence. It induces aggregation of rat platelets with an EC50 value of 40 μM.1 PAR4 (1-6) amide (100 μM) induces smooth muscle relaxation and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2; Item No. 14010) release in isolated mouse tracheal segments, effects that are inhibited by indomethacin (Item No. 70270).2WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use. | | References | [1] M.
