| Preparation | Under an argon atmosphere, a trace amount of iodine was added to a mixture of magnesium (434 mg) and THF (2 mL). The mixture was heated to 60 °C, and a solution of 4-bromo-2-chloro-1-fluorobenzene (3.58 g) in THF (6.5 mL) was added dropwise (the temperature was maintained at 65 °C during the addition).
