| THR-ARG-SER-ALA-TRP Usage And Synthesis |
Uses | Osteostatin, a fragment of parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP) 107-111, promotes bone repair in animal models of bone defects and prevents bone erosion in inflammatory arthritis, inhibits collagen-induced arthritis and inhibits osteoclastic bone resorption directly. Osteostatin can be used for inflammation and immunology research[1][2][3][4]. | in vivo | Osteostatin (80 or 120 μg/kg,; after the onset of disease s.c. every day for 13 days) decreases the severity of arthritis as well as cartilage and bone degradation[4].
Animal Model: | Collagen-induced arthritis in male DBA/1 mice[4] | Dosage: | 80 or 120 μg/kg | Administration: | After the onset of disease s.c. every day for 13 days | Result: | Reduced serum IgG2a levels as well as T cell activation, with the downregulation of RORγt+CD4+ T cells and upregulation of FoxP3+CD8+ T cells in lymph nodes.
Decreased the levels of key cytokines, such as interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-17, and tumor necrosis factor-α in mice paws, whereas enhanced IL-10.
