Uses(S,S)-Formoterol ((+)-Formoterol) is a (S,S)-enantiomer of Formoterol. (S,S)-Formoterol can promote asthma by enhancing IL-4 production in mast cells of the asthmatic airway[1].
DefinitionChEBI: (S,S)-formoterol is an N-[2-hydroxy-5-(1-hydroxy-2-{[1-(4-methoxyphenyl)propan-2-yl]amino}ethyl)phenyl]formamide in which both of the stereocentres have S configuration. It is a conjugate base of a (S,S)-formoterol(1+). It is an enantiomer of an arformoterol.
