After the dropwise addition, the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. Subsequently, the methanol solvent was removed by rotary evaporator and 250 ml of n-hexane was added to the residue and the resulting white solid was collected by filtration and washed with n-hexane.
