| Uses | 2-Bromo-3-fluoroanisole is a phenyl ether compound with fluorine and bromine functional groups on the benzene ring, which can be used as an organic synthesis raw material or intermediate. | | Synthesis | GENERAL METHOD: 2-Bromo-3-fluorophenol (0.1 mol) was dissolved in DMF (100 mL) and K2CO3 (0.1 mol) and iodomethane (0.1 mol) were added sequentially. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 24 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, water (400 mL) was added to dilute and the mixture was extracted with hexane.
