Pancreatin

Trypsin is a mixture of various enzymes extracted from pig, sheep or bovine pancreas. It is a white-like or micro-striped yellow powder, partially soluble in water. The aqueous solution is stable at Ph2~3, unstable at pH6 or above, and the presence of Ca2+ can increase its stability. Partially soluble in low concentration ethanol solution, insoluble in high concentration of organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone and ether, slightly odorous, but no odor of mold, and hygroscopicity. In the case of acid, heat and heavy metal, tannic acid and other protein precipitating agents, precipitation occurs, losing the vitality of the enzyme.Trypsin can be used as a digestive drug; it is mainly used for indigestion, loss of appetite and digestive disorders caused by pancreatic diseases and indigestion in patients with urinary diseases.
