| Description | DRB (5,6-dichloro-1-β-D-ribofuranosyl benzimidazole) is a potent and selective inhibitor of casein kinase 2 (CK2), widely used to study CK2-dependent signaling pathways. In cellular models, DRB at 0.25–0.5 µM effectively suppresses CK2α gene expression while modulating amyloidogenic processing by increasing ADAM10 and decreasing BACE1 gene expression. This compound is primarily employed in neurobiological research to investigate tau phosphorylation, amyloid-beta production, and neuronal apoptosis mechanisms. |
