Spadin is a potent inhibitor peptide, which is a secreted peptide. Spadin is a leader peptide generated from freely matured NTSR3/Sortilin, and its sequence contains 18 amino acids. Research has shown that Spadin exhibits resistance to depression in mice. In the experiment, continuous administration of the drug to mice for four days not only showed strong antidepressant effects, but also promoted phosphorylation of hippocampal CREB protein and neurological development.
