Steps:
Synthesis of 3-Bromo-5-chloropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (5).
5-Chloropyrazolo [1,5-a]pyrimidine (4) (3.43g, 22.34mmol) was suspended in dimethylformamide (60mL) and N-bromosuccinimide (4.37g, 24.57mmol) was added in small portions while stirring. Alter 1hat room temperature, the reaction was quenched with water (150mL). The precipitation was vacuum filtered and washed with water. After drying, the yellowish solid was the desired compound (4.89g, 94%). 1H NMR (250MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 9.22 (d, J=7.3Hz, 1H, HetH), 8.44 (s, 1H, HetH), 7.23 (d, J=7.2Hz, 1H, HetH) ppm.
