Compounds 4a-4i (general procedure)
General procedure: Hydrazinehydrate, 15 mmol (85% solution), was added to a mixtureof 10 mmol of ester 2a-2i and 20 mL of ethanol,and the mixture was stirred for 2 h at room temperatureand for 8 h at 50-60°C. The solvent was removed, andthe crystalline residue was washed with water, dried,and recrystallized.
