Acid Violet 48 Chemical Properties,Uses,Production
Uses
Acid Violet 48 is suitable for dyeing silk, wool, nylon, and wool blends, and is also used for direct printing on wool and silk fabrics. When dyeing with other fibers in the same bath, nylon yields a color similar to wool, silk a lighter color, polyester a slight staining, and cellulose fibers a very small staining. It is mainly used for dyeing loose wool, wool tops, skeins, and cone yarns, etc., producing a bluish hue, high color yield, and good colorfastness, suitable for dyeing medium to dark colors; it has poor leveling properties, is not sensitive to chromium salts, and can be blended with acidic mordant dyes or used to adjust the color.
Preparation
1-Amino-4-bromo-9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracene-2-sulfonic acid and 2,4,6-Trimethylbenzenaminecondensation, and then to 4-Tert-Octylphenoland second condensation, and hair smoke sulphonated sulfuric acid.
Properties and Applications

In strong hydrochloric acid for product red, diluted into light purple, have precipitation; In nitric acid for coffee. Its water solution for product red, add hydrochloric acid for sauce and after red precipitate; After add sodium hydroxide and have better light precipitation. Levelness medium, white sex is not good. Used for wool, silk, polyamide fiber and its blended fabric dyeing and printing, but also can be used for leather color.
