Formamidine hydrochloride Usage And Synthesis
Synthesis

Hydrogen chloride (HCl) was added to formamidine acetate (FAAc) and reacted at 0°C (molar ratio HI: FAAc = 1.1:1). The HCl was slowly added to a round-bottom flask containing FAAc, and the mixture was stirred for 2 hours. After the reaction was complete, the reaction solvent was evaporated at 60°C using a rotary evaporator, and the product was recovered. The solid was washed with diethyl ether and recrystallized from ethanol. The resulting white precipitate was dried in a vacuum oven at 65°C for 24 hours. The product was stored in an argon-filled glove box.

Uses5-Methyl-4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine was synthesized from formamidine hydrochloride. N-Formimino-n-glutamate was synthesized from formamidine hydrochloride. Formamidine hydrochloride was used in the synthesis of imidazoleglycerol phosphate (IGP).
Materials UsesFORMAMIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE (FACl) improves the performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) by enhancing the crystalline quality and uniformity of perovskite films, which leads to increased device efficiency and stability. In LEDs, FACl contributes to higher luminescence efficiency by reducing non-radiative recombination and optimizing the emission layer's properties.
